Welcome to our website
The Ritz Theater was one of four segregated movie theaters in Charlotte during the time of Jim Crow.
The original Ritz Theater was the center of the neighborhood, but was removed in the '90s.
Now thanks to a 15-year-neigboorhood-vision, where the theater once stood, has been transformed into a beautiful community gathering space.
. . . a destination hub for community members to come together and celebrate the strength of their rich history and culture.
